Exciting Updates: Embracing Canadian Currency for Courses, Books, and Memberships
Why I’m Ditching USD Pricing: A Dutchie in Canada Taking Action, Not Sides.

Recent tariffs (or threats thereof) are shaking things up, but instead of complaining, I’m making a change—supporting my global community with better pricing on pretty much everything I offer.
Everything popular is wrong. ~Oscar Wilde
In light of recent, let’s say, “economic developments”, I’m thrilled to announce several significant changes to my pricing structure, all effective immediately. These are not threats or promises, but adjustments designed to provide better value to my global community and underscore my commitment to supporting Canadian businesses.
1. Courses Now Priced in CAD$
In addition to my recent announcement about my reimagined online learning website, all my online course base prices have transitioned to Canadian Dollars (CAD$).
By visiting my new website, windmillcloud.com, you can access the best tuition rates, automatically applied. No coupons needed - you can just start with a free preview.
Given the current exchange rate, this shift results in immediate savings. As of February 1, 2025, 1 US Dollar (USD) is equivalent to approximately 1.453 Canadian Dollars (CAD) . This means that a course previously priced at $100 USD would now be approximately $68.80 USD when converted from $100 CAD, offering a minimum savings of over 30%.
Moreover, by starting with a free preview via my website, you can unlock discounted tuition rates of up to 80%. All my courses are delivered through Udemy, ensuring lifetime access and a straightforward money-back guarantee.
2. Books Priced at $20 CAD
I’ve collaborated with my publisher to reduce book prices to $20 CAD, which is just below $15 USD at the current exchange rate.
This adjustment returns our pricing to the original $20 CAD that I offered at various trade, travel, and motorcycle shows, as well as public speaking events over the years.
It’s a simple and fair pricing model that honours my Canadian home base. $20 for a book seems fair - while the cost of living keeps increasing and everything else gets more expensive, with this change, my books did not - and remain a timely answer to some of todays questions.
3. Membership Pricing Adjustments
All existing paying members of my blog (thank you) have had their fees adjusted to the same rate in CAD$. With the current exchange rate, this represents a savings of at least 30% compared to previous USD pricing. You’re welcome. 🙏
Additionally, new members will enjoy an extra 25% off for the next 12 months on top of these currency savings. This is a tangible benefit opposing recent tariff changes. My goal is to take 25% off instead of tacking it on.
Support Canadian Businesses
I encourage you to take advantage of these offers and support Canadian small business owners. While this post isn’t a political statement1, it’s a reminder that we can make impactful choices with our spending. Instead of voicing complaints, let’s take action and vote with our dollars.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can strengthen our community and economy.
Note: Exchange rates are subject to change. The savings mentioned are based on the rate as of February 1, 2025.
