Exploring the Sweet and Soulful City Life in Colombia
Once a very untouchable country, Colombia today is more open to international travelers than it has ever been. Highlights range from the soaring peaks of the Andes to the diverse ecology of the lowlands – it all contributes to the stunning nature of this ever-evolving nation. You will be able to swim in the Caribbean, hike through the Amazon, and climb to see exhilarating vistas – all in one trip. And for this coffee lover, the best part is the end of the day when I get to sip premium coffee with the locals.
Colombia was my first travel destination in 2016, and I wanted to share some of my impressions on this amazing trip. Other than bringing home some excellent local coffee for my espresso machine, I captured some photographs that are currently featured in my fine art gallery.
The independent nation of Colombia is located in the northwest corner of the South American Continent, just across the Canal from Panama. Colombia is more than twice the size of France and is the only South American country to have a border with both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Colombia is a fantastic place to start your journey through South America as the country shares borders with Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
