Making Pivots: Slight Changes In The Way You Do Things In Business
In business, it’s all about making pivots: slight changes in the way you do things that are going to make a massive impact on your results.
Many business owners I work with are initially thinking of doing a complete overhaul of their processes.
For example, they may want to re-do their entire marketing or sales approach. I almost always discourage a complete overhaul. Why start from scratch? Your current process, as dysfunctional as it may currently be, is a process you can start with.
Let’s make it better.
That’s what pivoting is all about.
Making small changes
The goal isn’t the overhaul your entire operations. The goal is to simply make small changes – as difficult as they may seem to be. Once you make the change, test and measure your outcomes. The proof is in the pudding, but only after you’ve implemented the change.
From there, the g0al is relatively simple: keep going. Continue to test and measure new approaches to old ways of doing things.
