Note To Self: Take A Moment To Yourself Today
Opening my inbox is not usually I do first thing in the morning, as it tends to be a bad start of the day with too many requests from every possible angle. Living by your inbox, is living other people’s agenda for your life.
This morning I habitually opened my emails first thing anyway, while having my usually strong morning coffee.
The first email that popped up started like this:
“There is no right or wrong way to use this time
So cut yourself some slack”
Thanks to who sent that to me. You know who you are.
But intuitively, my immediate knee-jerk reaction was to disagree, at least at some level. Which means I needed to hear exactly that today. While some people talk about downtime and chilling, it seems I have somehow found a way to pick up the pace. I work longer days and harder hours every day. Weekends included, because we can’t go anywhere anyway – I tell myself.
