What chapters of your life are you ready to throw out?
When writing my latest book The Freedom Project: Happiness, certain ideas and chapters didn’t make it into the book because we didn’t like them and decided to throw them out. They didn’t fit as well with the rest of the book as I thought they originally would.
In creating and writing your life story the same applies. We often look up to celebrities and people we think have “made it”. We compare our story, the story we know in full, to their story, which we only know parts of. If we were to look closer, we would see that those celebrities all have their own battles to fight and issues to deal with.
I’ve met my share of influential people, and without exception they all have their stuff to deal with, just like us “normal people”. The difference is that the people we think have “made it” often don’t choose to give too much attention to the less positive part of their story. They focus on their successes, and accomplishments.
