When Will Travel Restrictions Be Lifted?

Is it safe to travel this summer? A few weeks ago, frustrated Brits had to rush home from Portugal to avoid being quarantined upon their return. I couldn’t help but wonder wether it was still too early to travel after all.

Closer to home, fully vaccinated Canadians are free of quarantine after travel as of July. The press coverage on “easing” restrictions was a little overtly optimistic in my opinion: as long as the unpleasant testing requirements stay in place, dropping the quarantine doesn’t offer any real “incentive” to travel again. And probably it’s designed that way.

Is It Safe To Travel This Summer?

Whether it’s “safe” or not, doesn’t really matter as long as the Canada border remains closed and testing requirements remain in effect even for those double vaccinated.
