Why I love using video online to break the internet barriers
Having created several online courses now on a variety of topics, it’s safe to say I love using online video. When done correctly, it takes your message from another impersonal internet-expression to a personal connection with your audience.
Here’s a little video we created as a personal welcome for my fine art photography website:
The reason we created this video is that selling art is very personal. I think it’s important to have a personal connection when buying a work of art that’s created by a “living artist”. I’ve done a lot of art events and gallery shows, and what makes those fun to do is the ability to connect with people that enjoy my photographs – as well as the ideas about travel, freedom and happiness behind them. It’s those ideas and conversations that inspired me to write my Freedom Project books. When selling anything online that personal touch is somewhat lost, which I’ve attempted to recreate using a welcome video.
