Why The Words You Use Matter
Last week I was inundated with negativity. To break the pattern, at the end of the week, I decided to watch the Apple keynote about their new product releases.
It’s so obvious how everything that was said is charged with positive acronyms, maybe a little too much from time to time. They never speak of colours, but only of amazing colours (with the second “a” extra emphasized: amaaaaaazing).

All these positive words made me feel a little better. And as a result, I made an additional contribution towards my “Apple Tax” and purchased another bunch of iStuff. Because I like to focus on health monitoring and living better, as all their positive messaging had suggested.
I totally fell for the marketing tricks in the presentation. Apple of course carefully constructed their event. The subliminal messaging was fully intentional to make me feel positive. The result is I ended up subscribing more to their products and services.
